Conference Travel

For those flying into Toronto, most major airlines fly either non-stop or through connections to Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in Toronto. There are two terminals:

  • Terminal 1 is used by Air Canada and most Star Alliance airlines (e.g., United, Lufthansa, EVA, Austrian, Air China, Aegean).

  • Terminal 3 is used by other airlines.

There is a "terminal link" train that shuttles between the two terminals.

You may find these links helpful:

There is a "Train to City" that connects Terminal 1 at Pearson airport to downtown Toronto at Union Station (see the link below for Getting Around Toronto).  From Union Station, you can catch the Toronto Transit Commission subway to destinations in the downtown core (University Line).

Early June in Toronto has average daytime temperatures around 20°C and average lows around 12°C, so bring appropriate clothing.....and an umbrella!  Toronto is in the Eastern Time Zone for North America and will be on Daylight Saving Time during the conference. Sunrise at about 5:30 AM and sunset at around 9 PM.
